Family KITAS

A Family KITAS is a temporary residence permit for foreigners who wish to join a family already living in Indonesia. This permit
allows the holder to carry out activities such as travel and visit friends/family &travel in and out of Indonesia as long as the
re-entry permit is still valid.

Family KITAS is divided into several types, depending on the family relationship,including: E31A for the spouse of an Indonesian
citizen, E31B: for the spouse of a KITAS/KITAP holder, E31E for children under 18 years old and not yet married who join the
parents of KITAS/KITAP holders.

Length of Stay

• This KITAS allows foreigners to stay in Indonesia for 1 years.

Requirements

E31A (join with spouse of an Indonesian citizen):

1. Passport with minimum 6 months validity;
2. A proof of bank statement with minimum balance at least USD 2,000  or equivalent
   in the last 3 months (including name, date of period, and balance account).
3. Photograph half body with blue, red or white background.
4. Proof of registration or recording to the Representative of the Republic of Indonesia/authorized
   agency in the field of civil registration and a marriage certificate that has been translated into
   Indonesian by a sworn translator* if the wedding ceremony took place outside the Indonesian territory;
5. Marriage book or marriage certificate issued by the ministry or authorized institution if the
   wedding ceremony takes place in Indonesian territory;
6. ID (KTP) of the Indonesian spouse;
7. Residence address in Indonesia.

*Translation is not required if the document is in English

E31B (join with spouse of a KITAS/KITAP holder):

1. Passport with minimum 6 months validity.
2. A proof of bank statement with minimum balance at least USD 2,000  or equivalent
   in the last 3 months (including name, date of period, and balance account).
3. Photograph half body with blue, red or white background.
4. Marriage certificate or marriage book that has been translated into Indonesian
   by a sworn translator except those that have been written in English.
5. Spouse’s valid KITAS/KITAP.
6. Passport of the spouse of the KITAS/KITAP holder.
7. Residence address in Indonesia.

E31E (children under 18 years old and not yet married who join the parents of KITAS/KITAP holders):

1. Passport with minimum 6 months validity.
2. A proof of bank statement with minimum balance at least USD 2,000  or equivalent
   in the last 3 months (including name, date of period, and balance account).
3. Photograph half body with blue, red or white background.
4. Marriage certificate or marriage book that has been translated into Indonesian
   by a sworn translator except those that have been written in English;
5. Birth certificate that has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except it is written in English.
6. Parents valid KITAS/KITAP.
7. Passport of the parent of the KITAS/KITAP holder.
8. Residence address in Indonesia.
